TENET are scheduled to begin recording their debut album, titled "Sovereign", in August with producer/SYL mainman Devin Townsend. A late 2003/early 2004 release through Century Media Records is expected.
"It took a lot of soul-searching to figure out why I'm so pissed off all the time," Simon said of the inspiration for the new project. "[I] had to go back...way back... There was a figure in my life then who made life for me and my family hell. I've hated this [motherfucker] passionately and only as an adult have I started to learn some truth. It wasn't a violence thing or a sex thing like you may be thinking, but a non-entity who had no right to fuck over everyone they came in contact with... me, my father (who this album is for...),my mother, my grandparents...the lot. I'm trying to be vague here 'cause I want the album to speak for me. So, TENET is my anger, my release, my everything. It's just a big 'fuck you' to someone who I think is an ass. Got it? And it doesn't mean that after 1 album I'll be happy...anger drives me, always has, and I figure it always will. Some of you will know exactly what I mean."
